This was possible the hardest day of my life so far. The man who WAS the best dad and my hero in the world passed away today. My heart was truly broken. I didn't understand how the lost of a parent could stop my world on a dime with one phone call. What I am now trying to remember is all the wonderful times shared with him and also that my life would not be were it is today if not for him and my mom.
So let me tell you about my dad. He was born in Brooklyn New York to two italian immigrant parents who were proud to now be in America. He grew up in a home of 9 sisters and 1 brother. His father was a fruit and vegetable man and my dad would tell us stories of how he would work with his father making deliveries. He met and married my mom after being set up on a date because my mom needed a prom date. They married and had 5 children. My father was an auto mechanic where he proudly was able to own his own business until he retired in his sixty's. Mom and dad moved to Scottsdale AZ for their retirement and they shared many more happy times there together. Dad passed away at around 1 in the morning on 02-12-12. He went quietly just as he had led his life and he will be missed always and forever.

He was laid to rest in a beautiful garden where we can visit him often and bring him up to speed on the family. I will love you forever dad and thanks for always being there for me no matter kind of craziness I brought home.
