We spent the weekend in beautiful Ventura. We watched our boys go off and spend the night in military barracks as a unit. The bonds that were formed this weekend between them will hopefully last a long time, they had a great time. Now don't kid yourself most of the parents where just a short drive away at the military lodge. LOL. The boys were not the only ones that made new friends quite a few of us adults did as well. The cadets were honored to take overall 1st place in Unit inspection. They had fun drilling and practicing how to put out a fire quickly, life saving techniques and Rob is now one of the lucky leaguers to be a part of the very first Navy League Color guard for Training Ship Ford. We are all looking forward to resting this coming weekend and getting together for a BBQ with some of our new friends.
