Sunday 06/27/2010- Chicago Vacation Day Two

Tribune BuildingThe kids sitting on the Anchor from the USS Chicago

Today was a day to try and play catch up with time. Even though there was only two hours time difference between Chicago and Cali today it hit hard. So we slept real late. Then we went for a late lunch at Houlahan’s restaurant. Then we took a nice long walk to Grant Park where we went to see the beautiful Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountains. The fountains were inspired by Latona Basin at Versailles. The center fountain shot up 150 feet in the air. They also had four Art Deco sea horses to represent the four states that boarder Lake Michigan. Then we went and had dinner at the beautiful Navy Pier and then walked the pier to view the light house at the piers end.
