Today we were off to the Field Museum of Natural History. We went face to face with Sue, a work famous T-Rex who was having a 10 year anniversary at the museum. Then we and explored the mummies of Egypt and some of these pictures are from real mummies it was really something to see. Then we walked through the evolution process. The museum was big and beautiful and well worth going to.
Then off we went to have deep dish Chicago Pizza at Giordano’s. It was really good and everyone loved it. Then off to shop along the famous Magnificent Mile which runs along Michigan Avenue. We walked and enjoyed going into different shops. We went into The Original American Doll Store it was a really nice store. Then we also went and got popcorn from the famous Garrett’s Popcorn shop and it was good. They are known for their Chicago mix of cheese and caramel popcorn mix together sounds nasty but really tasted good. We also saw the Water Tower and Pumping stations which is one of the few structures that survived the Chicago fire of 1871. These building were constructed in 1867 and 1869. At the opposite end of the mile is the beautiful Wrigley Building which is where the headquarters for wriggle chewing gum and the Chicago Tribune.
